prática motivadora na aprendizagem de Língua Inglesa na Escola Pública
através da 7ª Arte - cinema
(motivation practice in the English Language learning at State School through the 7th Art - Cinema)

Justificativa: (Justification:)
Tendo em vista a grande insatisfação dos alunos, em geral na escola pública, acerca das dificuldades de aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa e dos seus mitos, tais como: a incapacidade de aprendizagem, a falta de apoio pedagógico, desnecessidade da aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira, a má formação dos profissionais da área etc.; o Projeto Sociocultural e Educacional Oscar Minas® nasce com a expectativa de acabar ou amenizar tais elementos contrários a uma aprendizagem adequada, fazendo que os aprendizes se motivem para uma aprendizagem adequada e contextualizada. 
(Seeing the great students' dissatisfaction, in general at the state school, of learning English and its myths, such as: the inability to learn, the pedagogical support lack, the English language learning needless, the bad teaching formation etc.; the Social-Cultural and Educational Project - Oscar Minas, is created in order to finish or ease such things against adequate learning, making the learners motivated to adequate and contextualised learning.

Objetivos: (Objectives:)
•      Motivar os alunos a interagir mais com a arte do cinema, contextualizada.
(Motivating students to interact with the cinema art, contextualised.)
•      Descentralizar aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa in loco.
(Decentralising the English Language in loco learning.)
•      Despertar uma independência maior – a autonomia tão esperada.
(Arousing a greater independence - the desired autonomy.)

Metodologia: (Methodology:)
A metodologia utilizada no Oscar Minas® é de um festival de filmes realizados pelos alunos das redes públicas.
(The methodology used in the Oscar Minas Project is a 5-minute film festival done by the state school non-native English speaker students.)
Ø  Ensino Fundamental (do 6º ao 9º ano);
(Primary School.)

Ø  Ensino Médio.
(Secondary School)
•   Grupos de 10 (dez) alunos, dividindo entre eles as funções, tais como: ator / atriz, direção, maquiagem, figurino etc. (ver na próxima seção: Premiação e Categorias Concorrentes).
(Groups of 10 students, divided into the functions, such as: actor/actress, directing, makeup, costume design etc. (see next section: Award and Ctegories).)
•    As avaliações, para premiação de uma estatueta Oscar Minas®, são realizadas por professores especialistas em Língua Inglesa – terceirizados pela Escola de Inglês UK CENTRE®.
(The ratings are made by the chosen judges by the UK CENTRE.)
•    Os filmes podem ser sátiras, paródias, ou até mesmo criações de no máximo de cinco minutos relacionados com a Língua Inglesa.
(The films may be a parody, a comedy, or even a creation of 5 minutes relating to the English Language.)

ATENÇÃO: (ATTENTION:)
  • Não há limites de filmes concorrentes em língua inglesa por escola; entretanto, os participantes podem somente participar em um grupo, sendo vedada sua participação em outro grupo.
  • (There's no limit for films in English; however, the group members can only take part in a group, not in many groups.)
  • Filmes em Língua Estrangeira (com um filme em língua portuguesa e/ou um filme em língua espanhola); lembrando que esse(s) filme(s) deve(m) conter as legendas em inglês. Entretanto, se a escola tiver alunos maturos podem também produzir filmes em inglês.
  • (The Foreign Language Film category (with only one film in the native language); remembering this kind of film must have the subtitles in English. However, if the school has mature students, they also can produce films in English.)
  • As ferramentas utilizadas pelos os alunos são as novas tecnologias, tais como: internet, softwares (movie-maker etc.), sítios educacionais etc.
  • (The tools used by the students are the new technologies, such as: internet, softwares, educational and cinema websites etc.)
  • Esse trabalho poderá ser considerado como trabalho escolar sendo que a avaliação escolar ficará a critério de cada professor, sendo que a pontuação dessa atividade será computada somente no 4º (quarto) bimestre do ano letivo decorrente.

 ATENÇÃO:

 A partir do momento da entrega dos vídeos, e a participação do vídeo no Oscar Minas, todos os direitos do filme é também pertencentes à Organização do Oscar Minas, podendo, adequadamente, divulgá-lo da maneira que queira.
From the moment the video  is delivered to take in the Oscar Minas, all the video rights also belong to the Oscar Minas which may use it to promote the video adequately.

Premiações e Categorias Especiais: (Special Awards and Special Categories:)

Melhor Filme em Língua Estrangeira: (The Best Foreign Language Film)
Nessa categoria Melhor Filme em Língua Estrangeira – cada escola pode somente inscrever um filme em língua espanhola e/ou um filme em língua portuguesa; entretanto, as legendas devem ser em língua inglesa. Portanto, cada escola pode concorrer com 2 (dois) filmes em língua estrangeira. Devemos ressaltar que, os filmes em língua estrangeira não concorrem nas demais categorias (Melhor Ator, Atriz, Maquiagem etc.), somente a uma estatueta de Melhor Filme em Língua Estrangeira. Portanto, os membros participantes nesses filmes podem ser quaisquer alunos da escola (tanto do Ensino Fundamental – alunos do 6º ao 9º ano, como também alunos do Ensino Médio, mesmo aqueles que estão participando em algum filme em língua inglesa).
(In this category The Best Foreign Language Film - each state school can only enrol one film in the native language; however, the subtitles must be in English. Thus, this category doesn't contest in the other categories (Actor, Actress, Costume Design etc.), but for this kind of film any student from the school can take part in the film, because the school is the contestant.)

 Escola do Ano: (The School of the Year)
Nessa categoria é analisado o apoio dado aos alunos pela escola – na divulgação do Projeto; motivação da participação – antes, durante e depois da produção dos filmes, como também o apoio dado durante a Noite de Premiação.
(In this category is analysed the given support to the students by the school - promoting the Project; the participation motivation - before, during and after the film production, as well as the given support during the Award Night.)

 Professor(a) do Ano: (The Teacher of the Year)
Nessa categoria é analisado o apoio dado aos alunos pelo(a) professor(a) – na divulgação do Projeto; motivação da participação – antes, durante e depois da produção dos filmes.
(In this category is analysed the given support to the students by the teacher - promoting the Project, the participation motivation - before, during and after the film production.)
